The changing tradition of Quiz company in India

Quiz shows have an incredible past. Quiz conduction in India is nothing new and has a rich and long history. But how different were the quiz shows of "Quiz Show" days from today's televised games? The answer is written on the wall – pretty different indeed.

Gradually as the television established itself, the new medium's need to appeal to intellectuals for acceptance also gained a momentum and in the early days of the television era in India entertainment was largely based on the quiz shows. It would not be an overstatement to say, it developed its own form and no longer had to imitate the rather cerebral ways of books and magazines. Of course the credit to a great extent goes to the Quizmasters in India. Today the tradition of quizzing is pretty popular in India and has been able to craft a whole new flavor of its own.

Together with the Quiz Company in India, the quizmasters are playing a staggering role in prospering the Indian infotainment industry. It is also important to be mentioned here that quizzing in India is different from American and British quizzing because it is diverse, with different genres catering to different geographical regions, age groups, interests, etc.

Possibly you know this already, Neil O'Brien was an early pioneer of quizzing in India. O'Brien conducted the first well-organized, formal quiz in 1967 at Christ the King Church Parish Hall in Calcutta. Yes, he remained active in quizzing, later hosting popular quiz show broadcasts, including the "North Star Quiz. The Bournvita Quiz Contest, for high school students, become the first quiz show to be broadcast on radio in India. It was just the beginning of a new quizzing era and later Quizmaster Siddhartha Basu, labeled as the "grandfather of the quiz game in India, is credited with making quizzing a household world. The look at the history of quiz shows in india remains incomplete without the mention of Gautam bose quizmaster, who has become the ultimate household name for quiz shows.

Gautam bose Greycells, which is quite a popular Quiz company in India, has been hosting quiz shows, events and much more! Gautam Bose thus quite rightly says, a good quizmaster should not only appear intelligent, but be intelligent.
